Andy Price has been an executive search consultant for twelve years. He entered the business just before the crest of the Internet wave in the mid-90’s, and has emerged as a leader in the Bay Area search community at the age of 35. Schweichler Associates, Inc. became “Schweichler Price Mullarkey & Barry” in 2004, after the firm had grown 300% during a blistering technology recession (2001-2004). Andy led its expansion into emerging markets such as renewable energy and into strategic venture capital firms and high profile public companies, helping to fuel the firm’s growth and raising its profile in the market significantly.
Andy runs searches for CEO's of public and private companies, and builds Officer level management for highly promising, fast growing private and public companies. His industry expertise includes energy, semiconductor, and all forms of I/T infrastructure, etc. He has worked with leading companies in these industries, including Ascend Communications (acq by LU for $24B), Broadcom (BRCM), FEI Company (FEIC), LSI Logic (recruited their new CEO), Riverbed (IPO’d: RVBD), SunPower (IPO’d: SPWR), etc. Venture clients include the world's best investors such as Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers, NEA, Sequoia, etc. Since 2004, his clients have generated more than $4B in liquidity events, and his public clients are profitable and growing. Andy represents very high quality executive opportunities and is highly selective with his clientele. He gets great satisfaction out of working with winners and leaders.
Andy's success is driven by a combination of factors. Beyond having a strong personal network that spans both Coasts, he is known for his tremendous passion, deep relationships with clients, speed of movement, unwavering intensity and dedication to quality.
Andy has a sales background, has personally built I/T for two companies and has been involved with more than 250 successful executive searches. He earned a B.S. from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Andy spends his free time with his lovely wife and two incredibly cute daughters, and his hobbies include racing road bikes, mountain biking, water skiing, scuba diving and triathlon.
