Paul has had over 10 years of executive search & consulting experience in Korea and Australia.
Prior to BSP, Paul’s executive search experience included appointments as Principal (member of the Global Technology Practice) at Heidrick & Struggles Korea, as well as Managing Director of 2 other global executive search firms.
Predominantly working with CEO’s and Boards, Paul has led searches on executive-level positions with global clients in the Hi-tech, IT, Semiconductor, Venture Capital, Private Equity, Consumer and Professional Services sectors. His indicative clients have been: Broadcom, Cisco Systems, Juniper, TSMC, Agilent Technologies, RealNetworks, Material Science Corporation, Universal Music Group.
Prior to entering the executive search industry, Paul’s career included Venture Capital, M&As, Technology Transfer & Commercialization and Strategy Consulting.
The unique value that Paul provides to clients is his ability to gain clear insight into key business issues and to transition this into dynamic and sustainable human capital solutions. Furthermore, the ability to understand the more critical issues involving cultural fit of Korean management talent in multinational organizations has help drive many successful searches. He has a proven track record of presenting talent that are ‘best-of-breed,’ providing mission critical impact to client’s corporate goals.
On top of his search work, Paul lectures programs in management, human resources, cross cultural business practices and career strategies to international MBA students at Korea Advanced Institute of Science & Technology (KAIST) Business School and is on the Corporate Advisory Board of several universities & institutions. Paul also works closely with the Korean office of University of Texas at Austin’s IC2 Institute in identifying, assessing and transferring Korean technology start-ups into the US.
Paul studied Psychology at The University of Sydney and an MBA from the University of Technology Sydney, Graduate School of Business.
